A Nashville moment: a Mom’s Love.

My second week of love post is called the “Breath of our Giant Babes” because of a mom-to-mom love connection I experienced while visiting my son in Nashville. The past 12 days represent my release from the solitary confinement of the pandemic, a deeply isolating time when I connected with my adult kids virtually for the greater part of a year.

With a wildly joyful and thankful heart I flew to DC and then Nashville, spending 12 soul-nourishing days as a dehydrated emotional barnacle loved back to life by Nora and Eli. When in Nashville visiting the Loveless Café (!), I walked through a local artisan shop and met Becca. Have you ever experienced a moment when you connect deeply with a stranger? This was one of those moments. We spoke gently about motherhood, and the hardwired maternal feeling of unbreakable love for our sons. Becca said when her son visits from LA, the depth of her peace can be found in knowing he is somewhere in the house, strumming his guitar, and feeling his breath in her four walls.

Feeling peace by sensing our children’s breath inside our homes aptly describes the unbreakable love/bond we experience with our children.

May you see and experience love in one of its many nuanced forms today too. #soulconnection #52weeksoflove#families #mothers #divorcejourney#purelove #heartchakra #adventuregirl#energywork #loveexperiment#nashville #divinity #heart-stories #writerslife #amomslife
